About Us

Promoting Effective Medications for Psychosis

As people with SMI often cannot work or face discrimination in hiring, they frequently end up jobless, homeless, and/or incarcerated. Furthermore, obtaining disability payments from the government can take years, and in the meantime, people with SMI have nowhere to turn. For people with SMI, life is unusually harsh—they face a terrible illness, are abused and mistreated in psychiatric hospitals, and are without jobs and nowhere to turn when they leave the hospital, unable to secure their basic needs, much less live a productive, joyful life. This needs to change!

Our approach includes gathering data from individuals who have experienced the effects of various medications firsthand. Through surveys and questionnaires, we collect valuable insights about the efficacy, side effects, and overall impact of different medications used to treat psychosis. This information is then compiled into comprehensive reports that highlight the strengths and weaknesses of current treatments, providing a basis for informed advocacy and policy recommendations.

We strive to influence healthcare providers, pharmaceutical companies, and policymakers to prioritize the development and distribution of improved medications for psychosis. Our goal is to see a future where individuals with SMI can access treatments that offer genuine benefits without debilitating side effects. Support our campaign by sharing your experiences, participating in our surveys, and following our progress through our blog. Together, we can advocate for better treatment options and a brighter future for those living with serious mental illness.
